Vamp X-Unknown's Profile Vamp X-Unknown The First Antediluvian ------------------------------ (note: this profile is old, but is kept for posterity. It may need to be revised later.) Vamp X-Unknowns name looms large in the histories of every infinity engine RPG (Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, ETC). Also known as DonPC1, his legacy is one that few if any can match. Many believe he is the greatest BG2 player of all time. His achievements, written in full, would take up more space then this page can offer, but a few of his more famous creations will be listed. DonPC1 was the first person to ever use script in an edited duel. And the first person to ever make a controlled creature with a script. Most of the opcodes in BG2 were discovered by him, and the opcode effects list he made is still the standard by which all others are judged. DonPC1 is the founder of Vamp. He ruled it for many months before retiring it and handing it over for recreation by FlashRam. His skill and knowledge of the games is incredible. DonPC1 can tell you exactly how many haste scrolls there are in BG2 and where each one is located. The amount of tricks and bugs he discovered in legit play is astounding. His skill in legit dueling was never matched, although many complained because he never accepted the "rules" by which most legit duelers played. He felt anything he found in game or obtained legit was his to use. And he expected others to do the same. Possibly the finest item and spell creator BG2 had ever seen, his Godkill spell is still the most feared spell ever made. DonPC1 never used Infinity Engine Editor Pro, which he considered a "newbie tool". He made all his items and spells with a hex editor. DonPC1 is without a doubt the greatest edited dueler in BG2 history, and arguably the greatest legit gamer in BG2 history. --------------- Note: Vamp has never encountered anyone better (edited wise) than X-Unknown & FlashRam. We can easily say this, also, because, edited dueling was never very large in BGx. You basically get to know the top players pretty fast, and those that did not present themselves as elite edited masters, who can say that they ever existed? |
