SotSC still around?

Hi, I was just wondering if the SotSC was gonna be up any time soon? Me and a mate wanted to jump on and noticed that it was down.

you can also thank Regen for taking the time to fix a level-up bug introduced in patch 1.69 (he says rogue is fixed, and the other classes will be fixed next)

Ya about that level up bug...I'll make sure its fixed monday! Basically the issue is getting the mount feats if you dont get them at first level so keep that in mind until then.

Couldn't find the server on Gamespy and the direct connect was giving me a "could not translate address" error message.

I'm still hoping to see some more work from the Vamp team. SotSC, TSoA... I miss them so much. Actually a few days ago I was talking to a few friends about the server and kinda got in the mood to install it all. Still prefer NWN1 over 2.

I can't get motivated to play or mod. For me the game is just too old now.

I'd rather just write about the good old days rather than actually try to bring them back.

I quite often think of SotSC whenever I get the urge to play NWN 1. It was challenging and there was a ton of little tricks and hidden goodies all over the place that made it fun to explore. I never really got into SotSC 2 though, I still prefer the original though. Alas, my current position in the land of Opiates and IED's has somewhat cramped my ability to play it for the next year or so It's almost too bad a standalone, feel free to explore version was never released!

Either way, I still check in from time to time and look forward to seeing what else the Vamp Team produces in the future - not that I was honestly a fan of getting ganked repeatedly It as still fun to run around and see what I could.

I'll definitely keep checking in to see what's what. Who knows if my net connection actually gets better as people start filtering out, I may just be able to hop on again...just maybe.
